3 Big Trends For 2014

Fashion, interiors and popular culture all have a huge impact on inspiring the latest hot trends for weddings and events. We've poured over the latest catwalk collections, hi-profile celebrity events and design blogs to bring you our forecast for the top event design trends of 2014.

Shades of Grey

The popularity of the colour grey has been steadily increasing over the last year and looks set to be a key colour for 2014.  The beauty of using grey as a base colour is that it complements practically anything. So try teaming it with muted colours such as blush pink or ivory or even a bold pop of colour such as sunshine yellow and cobalt blue.

Pantone’s colour of the year for 2014 has been announced as Radiant Orchid, a luscious fuschia with rich purple undertones. This colour is just one of the bright, bold tones that are emerging as the key colours for 2014.

Vibrant yellows, dazzling oranges and livid blues work brilliantly with more muted colours such olives, sand and stone.

Combine this colour palette with oversized furniture, geometric prints and intricate tableware to create a design palette that screams high end luxury.

We’re calling another big trend for this year, multi-faceted. So out with old, one-dimensional solid colour table cloths and in with sequins, appliqués, beading and embellishment.

We dipped our toes into the water last year with some prototype designs based on this exact approach. We'll be launching some exciting new products along these exact lines over rthe next few months so stay tuned for updates.
