So What Does 88 Events Do Exactly?
Founded in 1996, 88 Events offer the UK's most luxurious combined collection of table linens and table styling products.
Our ever-growing Hire Collection started life in 2001 as a single tablecloth in one colour. It now features:
- 14 exclusive table linen fabrics in 130+ colourways and loads of sizes
- Chair covers in 9 fabrics to fit many styles of chair
- Loads of napkin décor options and chair décor accessories
- Customisable Chiavari & Rustic chairs plus lots more furniture
- Over 40 different styles of candelabra and charger plate
- Contemporary & traditional glassware
We manufacturer AND launder all the table linen ourselves and back it up with an industry-first triple quality guarantee.
We even offer a FREE design service to help you style stunning tables that will wow your guests every time.
But Didn't You Used To Plan Events Too?
Indeed we did. From 2001 until 2019, we had two divisions. One division offered a Hire Service, just like now. The other was involved in planning high-end corporate events, exclusive private parties and luxury weddings.
Whilst our hire business was always growing throughout this time, the growth over the last 3 years has been so dramatic that we now concentrate all of our energy on the hire business. We're based in Glasgow but supply table linen nationwide. In fact, 30% (and rising) of our turnover is generated outside of Scotland.
So our full focus these days is on making our Hire Collection accessible to as many people in the UK as possible.
If you need help with event management, party or wedding planning, we have loads of event agencies and wedding planners as clients and are happy to recommend you to one in your local area.
So From October 2019, we are no longer accepting new event management or wedding planning clients. If you have previously booked us to plan an event for you in late 2019 or 2020, rest assured that your event will still be planned as per your agreement. We're just no longer accepting new event management or wedding planning clients.
But You're Still Called 88 Events?!
Correct. We've been in business for nearly 25 years and there's so many people in the industry who know us as 88 Events that to change our name now might prove to be more hassle than it's worth. That's not to say we won't change our name in the future.
Until you hear otherwise, we're still 88 Events. But you can call us 88 if you want!
